I woke up on 1 July and found my body itching all over. Mommy checked me and found blisters. Almost immediately Daddy and Mommy brought me to East Shore Hospital.
At the hospital, when the nurse knew that I had chicken pox, I was brought to a room away from all the other patients. The nurse explained to Mommy why we were isolated. I was also given a mask to put on. After quite some time, the doctor came into the room. He confirmed that I had chicken pox and gave me 2 weeks medical leave. He did not give me any medicine as we still have medicine for the pox, Zovirax, leftover from Zane's chicken pox. After paying up, Daddy drove us home. We did not go to church that day. Neither did I go for my music class.
We went to Grandma's house after that and I stayed there for the following week. Mommy took leave for 3 days and stayed with me at Grandma's. Zane also stayed and we played Maple Story to pass time.
The first few days of the pox was quite bad. I had some rash and the pox grew all over my body. They were itchy and painful. I even have them in my throat and that made drinking water so painful. Grandma made 'liang cha' for me. Before the week ended, I felt much better.
Most of the pox have dried and some of the scab have fallen off now. I go home every night now but I still stayed away from school. I waiting for all the scab to fall off so that I can go back to school to see my friends.
